Severe storms left behind widespread damage in western Pennsylvania on Thursday evening.

Multiple tornado warnings were issued in western Pennsylvania. They have since expired.

Allegheny County officials tweeted several damage reports following the storms, including roofs being blown off homes and trees down.

Pittsburgh's Action News 4 reporter Kalea Gunderson was in Hampton Township where a roof was blown off a home on Linden Drive.

At another home on Green Valley Drive in Hampton Township, the homeowner said a 90 ft. tree fell just feet from his children's bedrooms.

Several large trees were also uprooted throughout Hampton Township.

Officials also said the fire department in Hampton Township is reporting that they believe a microburst passed through the township causing widespread damage. They said no injuries have been reported.

Western Pennsylvania Montessori School and Wyland Elementary School in Hampton Township will be closed Friday due to downed trees and power lines, officials confirmed.

Duquesne Light is reporting more than 3,000 customers without power, many in the Hampton, Shaler and Ross Township areas.

West Penn Power is reporting more than 4,000 customers without power, many in Butler and Washington counties.
